Desde que emergieron del submundo en 2003, Carach Angren ha dominado el oscuro arte de componer historias siniestras del pasado inundándolas de sinfónicas y oscuras melodías, ahora, en su tercera década, en The Cult of Kariba, regresan a la fuente que inspiró su primer álbum.
Carach Angren conecta con el universo narrativo iniciado en Lammendam, su disco de 2008, The Cult Of Kariba revela la intención oculta tras la resurrección de la hechicera que le da nombre, también conocida como la dama blanca, sumergiéndonos en el corazón de la leyenda, donde el culto a lo siniestro nos lleva por parajes dominados por el miedo.
La venganza que viene de ultratumba paraliza por el miedo que provoca, las extremidades se entumecen, el corazón palpita sin control, y comienza a envenenar tú cuerpo, lo clandestino se vuelve latente y desde el infierno la malignidad se hace presente, atormentando a miles que viven el calvario latente de sentir la muerte rondando a cada respiro entregado.
Cada intervalo que produce el disco es una bocanada de aire podrido que nos hace transitar por un mar de intenso negro, mientras se va pegando a nuestro cuerpo los sones llenos de maleficio que vienen impregnados del dolor de aquellos que ya partieron, The Cult of Kariba es un tremendo EP que evoca el tiempo pasado, ese que se pierde con el paso del tiempo, pero que viene impregnado de insanos recuerdos por ello es que se mantiene en silencio, solo el recuerdo de viejos poemas escritos con sangre trae a la luz el maleficio que corre a raudales.
Cada tema del disco se desarrolla como una secuencia de eventos que involucran a un culto clandestino en Schinveld, comenzando, donde los aldeanos se reúnen en secreto para un ritual que solo desatada sangre y muerte, dolor y martirio, que viene adornado con el incesante machacar de sinfonía sin igual con que Carach Angren nos ha embadurnado a lo largo de los años.
Producido con precisión y cohesión narrativa, The Cult of Kariba une mito, terror y folclore en un viaje de cinco partes, cuidadosamente elaborado. En lugar de simplemente revisitar el escenario de Lammendam, Carach Angren amplía la historia con contexto histórico adicional, nuevos personajes y un tono aún más oscuro.

Since emerging from the underworld in 2003, Carach Angren has mastered the dark art of composing sinister stories from the past by flooding them with symphonic and dark melodies, now, in their third decade, in The Cult of Kariba, they return to the source that inspired their first album.
Carach Angren connects with the narrative universe that began in Lammendam, his 2008 album, The Cult Of Kariba reveals the hidden intention behind the resurrection of the sorceress who gives it its name, also known as the white lady, immersing us in the heart of the legend, where the cult of the sinister takes us through places dominated by fear.
The revenge that comes from beyond the grave paralyzes because of the fear it causes, the limbs go numb, the heart beats uncontrollably, and begins to poison your body, the clandestine becomes latent and from hell the malignancy is present, tormenting thousands who live the latent ordeal of feeling death hovering around at every breath delivered.
Each interval that the album produces is a breath of rotten air that makes us travel through a sea of intense black, while the sounds full of curses that are impregnated with the pain of those who have already departed are stuck to our body, The Cult of Kariba is a tremendous EP that evokes the past time, that which is lost with the passage of time, but that is impregnated with insane memories, which is why it remains silent, only the memory of old poems written in blood brings to light the curse that runs in abundance.
Each track on the album unfolds as a sequence of events involving an underground cult in Schinveld, beginning where villagers gather in secret for a ritual that only unleashes blood and death, pain and martyrdom, which comes adorned with the incessant pounding of unparalleled symphony with which Carach Angren has smeared us over the years.
Produced with precision and narrative cohesion, The Cult of Kariba unites myth, horror and folklore in a carefully crafted, five-part journey.
